An app asked you to verify your company

What is Dazr Identity?

Dazr Identity is the account that many apps use for signing in. It is run by Dazr, a company in Italy. Some apps also want to be sure that a company is real and that the person who signs up may act for it. Dazr checks this once, and every app your company chooses can rely on it. The app only learns the result, never your photos.

What happens, in 3 steps

  1. Check your company’s details. The name, register number and address, as listed in the business register. About 2 minutes.
  2. Take two photos with your phone. One of your passport or ID card, and one selfie. The camera opens on the page, and nothing is uploaded from your gallery. On a computer, you scan a QR code and continue on your phone. About 3 to 5 minutes.
  3. We check and decide. We compare your photos, look up the company in the business register, and check official lists of sanctions and of people in prominent public positions. Usually this is automatic and takes about 10 minutes. If a person at Dazr needs to look, it usually takes one working day. You get an email either way.

Then you go back to the app, and it can see that your company is verified.

Who pays?

Often the app that asked you pays. Otherwise your company pays €25 plus VAT, once, by card or another method shown on the screen, and you get an invoice. The screen always shows the price before you pay. If you stop before your ID is checked, you get the full amount back.

What we check, and what happens to your photos

Before you take any photo, we ask for your permission. The privacy notice has all the details.

Your accountant can start it, you take the photos

Anyone who manages your company’s account in Dazr Identity, such as your accountant or an office manager, can fill in the company details and pay. They then send you an invitation by email. You open it on your phone, confirm that you are a director or legal representative, and take the two photos. It works the other way round too: you can start it yourself.

Register extracts by country

In many countries we read the business register online, and you need nothing else. Where we can’t, you upload an official extract from the register as a PDF. It must be no older than 3 months.

CountryWhat you need
ItalyA visura camerale, the company register extract, no older than 3 months. Download it as a PDF from registroimprese.it, or ask your accountant or your Chamber of Commerce. The ordinary visura is enough.
Netherlands, Norway, Denmark, Finland, France, Poland, Czechia, United KingdomNothing: we read the business register online.
GermanyA current extract from the commercial register (Handelsregister), which you can download from handelsregister.de.
AustriaA current extract from the company register (Firmenbuch). Your accountant or a Firmenbuch provider can get it for you online.
BelgiumAn extract from the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises (KBO/BCE), from kbopub.economie.fgov.be.
SpainA nota simple from the commercial register (Registro Mercantil), which you can order at registradores.org.
Every other countryAn official extract from your business register, no older than 3 months. Your accountant or the register can help.

Can’t use a phone camera?

Then a Dazr consultant can check your ID in a short video call instead. You show your ID on camera, and nothing is recorded. The call costs €200 plus VAT. If we cancel it, or can’t offer a time that suits you, you get the full amount back. Another director of your company can also take the photos instead of you.

Other ways an app may ask you to verify

Some apps only ask for a verified organisation. Then you can also choose one of these ways, and the screen shows which ones fit your company:

Questions?

Write to support@dazr.eu or use our contact form. A person reads every message and replies within 1 to 2 working days. Questions about the app itself go to the app’s own support, which you see on the screen where you sign in.
